It’s true. If I were in video, doing projects for anyone other than myself, I wouldn’t use FCPX or any Apple products at all.
Video projects for myself, I totally prefer FCPX. If I had a team though, and had any stakeholders other than myself, I’d go premiere pro at this point.
Are more people really starting to use Premiere Pro now? I had to stop using FCP ‘cause it was my roommates and he moved out. I was lucky enough to get a full version of Premiere Pro and After Effects, albeit CS4, about 7 months ago, but I’ve been really, really liking it so far. I haven’t used Avid since college, but I’m taking a class to get a certification at the end of the month anyway. When I first learned non-linear editing, it was before HD, Red, 3D, etc. It’ll be good to get a refresher and get caught up!
